This Amharic (አማርኛ) video discussed the importance of soft skills/people skills/intangible skills to:

1. Leverage one’s technical knowhow and technical skills

2. Communicate and get along with diverse people better

3. Get promotions and the perks and benefits that come with it

4. Monetize technical abilities & create jobs to benefit oneself, family, and many others

5. Become a leader and influencer to serve one’s team, organization, and community using one’s expertise and experience

6. And more.

I also shared three critical soft skills everyone should develop and refine, regardless of one’s culture, industry, and particular profession…

In this video, I used two technically savvy individuals (one from the US, @Steve Jobs, and one from Ethiopia, @Ezedin Kamil), both of whom enjoyed the above benefits because they complemented their technical know-how and expertise with the necessary soft skills.
