Don’t assume that you already know everything to know about Haile. In this Amharic video, I shared some things you might haven’t heard from somewhere else. Things you might not have given serious attention to. Check it out and share your thoughts in the video’s comment area.

For instance, I argued that considering Shaleka Haile G/Selassie, one of the greatest long-distance runners in history, as a successful runner alone doesn’t paint the full picture of the man and is a disservice to all of us.

Indeed, it is tempting to focus on Haile’s extraordinary success as a superstar, ignoring his evolution and what empowered him to succeed in totally unrelated and different industries.

One quality of Haile that has been overlooked, denying many benefiting from his thrilling journey, is his transformative personality. Many may not ask what enabled Haile to evolve over the years, succeeding in totally different industries.

In this clip, starting from the 13th minute, I brought up one insightful story Haile shared when he was interviewed on Meri Podcast.

I used that story to show what differentiates transformative leaders (the 1% of leaders) like Haile from the rest.
